The European Environment Agency(EEA) states that in Germany alone, heavy-duty vehicles are responsible for over 25 percent of emissions in the transport sector. According to EU regulations, manufacturers of buses and trucks must reduce the CO2 emissions of their new vehicles by an average of 15% by 2025 and by 30% by 2030 compared to 2019 levels. Conversely, this means that electric trucks are already playing a major role in heavy goods transport.
