If you look at the entire life cycle of an electric battery-powered truck, it does cause more CO2 in production than a diesel truck, but it is much more climate-friendly in operation. 90% of the environmental impact of diesel is caused by its use. A Designwerk electric truck therefore releases 74% lessCO2 over its entire service life than an average diesel truck (42-tonner, 120,000 kilometers per year). No other technology offers the possibility of achieving suchCO2 savings.
