Battery life depends on several factors – load profile, ambient temperatures and mileage all affect the life of high-voltage systems. With typical use, we expect a service life of approx. 8 years. After that, the traction battery is still usable and has a corresponding monetary time value. The battery system can then be used for many more years in other applications – so-called 2nd life applications such as home storage.
