The company is thus setting a further example for electromobility in commercial vehicles. Each year, the Green Business Award recognizes the Swiss companies with the best solutions for combining sustainable action with economic success. The prominent jury selected three finalists from countless applicants and 36 nominated companies. In the final round, Futuricum was able to convince with its concept of converting diesel vehicles to fully electrified e-truck. The 16-member main jury with jury president Doris Leuthard finally decided in favor of the prize winner from Winterthur on the basis of its ecological and economic advantages. Adrian Melliger, Managing Director of the Designwerk Group and pitch participant is pleased: “We are pioneers for electric commercial vehicles and feel this award confirms our path of being able to achieve ecologically sensible business success with the right technologies, ideas and employees.” On the economic side, looking at the cumulative acquisition, energy and maintenance costs over 5 to 10 years, quickly shows the advantage of e-truck. One example of environmental sustainability is reduced emissions. An electric refuse vehicle from Futuricum consumes 190 kWh per 100 kilometers in operation. This corresponds to a diesel equivalent of 19.6 liters. In comparison, a diesel vehicle consumes up to 90 liters per 100 kilometers in collective operation. Thus, a customer can save a good 80 tons of Co2 per year and operate with low noise. Miriam Bosshard2025-02-19T10:46:58+01:00
