Electromobility expert Designwerk sharpens profile and shines in new dress

May 03, 2022 – The Swiss cleantech company Designwerk is sharpening its profile as a specialist in the field of electromobility and appears in a refreshed design. In future, the Futuricum, Batteriewerk and Designwerk product brands will be united under a single Designwerk brand. The comprehensive product range offers customers mobility solutions for diverse applications from a single source.

Founded in 2008, the history of the electric mobility company Designwerk began with the development of electrically powered vehicles as an engineering service provider. More than 100 contract developments have been implemented since then. In recent years, the brands Batteriewerk for storage solutions, MDC with mobile fast chargers and Futuricum brand electric trucks joined the original think tank and development experts.
Since 2021, the Volvo Group has been supporting the solid growth of the Swiss specialist for electromobility with a company location in Winterthur with a 60% stake.

Strengthened by the trust of Volvo, its partners and customers, Designwerk combines the strengths and know-how of the individual product brands anew in the joint Designwerk brand. From now on, all products including the areas of e-truck, chargers, battery systems and contract development will be marketed under the name Designwerk. A new Designwerk brand presence supports the sharpening of the profile.

As a market driver in electromobility, Designwerk is now the market leader with customized solutions for individual requirements. “As pioneers, we are driving the change to electromobility and with the industrialization of our products, we offer electromobility solutions from a single source. From developing, storing, driving to charging,” says Adrian Melliger, the managing director of Designwerk.
