Designwerk expands to Sweden

March 09, 2023 – Designwerk Technologies AG is expanding into Scandinavia: since the beginning of the year, the mobile fast chargers for commercial vehicles from the Swiss electromobility specialist have also been available in Sweden. Designwerk is supported in this by its new sales partner Svensk Fordonsladdning (Rättvik, Sweden). “With Svensk Fordonsladdning, we have gained an excellent partner to drive electromobility forward and meet the increasing demand for zero-emission drive technologies,” comments Designwerk CEO Adrian Melliger.

Electromobility is of central importance for the energy transition and for achieving the climate targets. Sweden is playing a pioneering role in this respect. For the official distributor as well as for Designwerk and the customers, the sales partnership is a win-win situation: Designwerk expands its market position in Europe, the Swedish partner expands its product portfolio with the mobile charging solutions. As electromobility is being driven forward at a rapid pace in Sweden, the demands on the charging infrastructure are increasing. “Due to the close cooperation with Designwerk, we are able to expand our offering with a world-leading product in this field. We are already experiencing strong demand for Designwerk’s quality products, especially the mobile DC chargers,” says Robert Nilsson, CEO of Svensk Fordonsladding.

DC fast-charging solutions from Designwerk expand retail partner’s offering
The official distributor Svensk Fordonsladdning has for years enjoyed an excellent reputation as a leading supplier of complete solutions for fast DC charging systems. The portfolio includes charging solutions for companies and municipalities. “Our goal is to deliver high-quality installations that are sustainable in the long run,” Nilsson explains. The mobile DC fast charging solutions from Designwerk Technologies AG expand the range of products offered by the Swedish trading partner, which previously only sold fixed chargers. With the new transportable chargers, Svensk Fordonsladdning can offer charging solutions exactly where customers need them: Directly on the commercial vehicle. The mobile fast chargers charge up to 600 kilometers per hour. With power ranging from 22 to 88 kilowatts and up to 1000 volts, the units provide fast and stable charging cycles. Due to the integrated cable changing system, customers can conveniently switch between the different charging standards at will. Maintenance and repair of the equipment is currently still carried out by the service center in Lottstetten, Baden. In the medium term, this should also be possible in Sweden. Likewise, the distribution of the Mega Charger is planned locally. The charging station in container format enables fast charging of heavy trucks within 45 minutes.
