Designwerk expands into the Benelux states Designwerk expands into the Benelux states29 August 2023 – Designwerk Technologies AG, the Swiss specialist in electric mobility is expanding further northwards. Designwerk is now offering electric commercial vehicles in the Benelux states. The portfolio covers the entire range of e-trucks from 18 to 50 tons and with battery capacities between 375 and 1000 kilowatt hours. According to a Forbes study from 2022, Luxembourg and the Netherlands are in the top 10 for the most amenable countries in the world regarding electric cars. In particular, the well-developed charging infrastructure and quality of the roads lead to a large proportion of electric vehicles being registered. Belgium also has a high proportion of electric cars being registered. “We see a great deal of market potential in the Benelux states for Designwerk e-trucks due to the advanced state of technological development combined with the positive societal and political environment. One example: The Netherlands is continuously investing in the energy transition and thus accelerating market developments. The dense and publicly accessible charging station network is one result of these investments.”, says Thomas Rücker, head of e-truck sales and aftersales at Designwerk Technologies AG. With a strong overall e-truck portfolio right from the start After successfully entering the German market in 2021, Designwerk is now expanding its team for the Benelux market. Sales and e-mobility expert Julian Rottier is responsible for driving local expansion of the Winterthur-based e-mobility specialists. From dumper trucks to low-floor vehicles to heavy haulers, customers in the Benelux states can choose from the whole range of electric trucks just like in Switzerland and Germany. Customers can choose e-trucks ranging from 18 to 50 tons and with battery capacities between 375 and 1000 kilowatt hours.
